DMCA / Copyright Policy

1. How 3DSearch Works
3DSearch is a search engine that aggregates and links to 3D printable models hosted on third-party platforms, including Printables, Thingiverse, and Cults3D. We do not host, store, or distribute any 3D model files. All models displayed in search results are hosted on their original platforms. When you click a result, you are redirected to the third-party platform where the model resides.
2. Submitting a Takedown Request
If you believe that a link appearing in 3DSearch results infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice. Please email hello@3dsearch.app with the following information:
- Your contact information: Full name, email address, and (if applicable) the organization you represent.
- The infringing URL(s): The specific 3DSearch URL(s) or search result links that you believe infringe your copyright.
- Description of the copyrighted work: A clear description of the original work that you own or are authorized to protect.
- Proof of ownership: Evidence that you are the copyright holder or are authorized to act on their behalf (e.g., a link to your original work, registration certificate, or portfolio page).
- Good faith statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement: A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
- Your signature: A physical or electronic signature.
We will review valid takedown requests promptly and remove the relevant links from our search results within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 5 business days.
3. Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed from 3DSearch results in error or due to misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to hello@3dsearch.app with the following:
- Your contact information: Full name, email address, and physical address.
- Identification of the removed material: The URL(s) or description of the content that was removed.
- Good faith statement: A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Consent to jurisdiction: A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in your district (or, if outside the US, any judicial district in which 3DSearch may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original takedown notice.
- Your signature: A physical or electronic signature.
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed links within 10-14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action.
4. Repeat Infringer Policy
3DSearch maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users or linked content from sources that are repeat infringers. If a third-party platform or content creator is found to repeatedly host infringing material, we may permanently exclude that source from our search results.
5. Important Notes
- Since 3DSearch does not host model files, a takedown request removes the link from our search index only. To remove the actual model file, you must also contact the hosting platform directly (e.g., Printables, Thingiverse, Cults3D).
- Filing a false DMCA notice may result in legal liability. We encourage you to consult with a legal professional if you are unsure whether your copyright has been infringed.
- We reserve the right to refuse takedown requests that do not meet the requirements outlined above.
